Photo Feature: The seals of Hindisvík, Iceland |
On the tip of the Vatnsnes peninsula, not far from Blönduós, in Northern Iceland, you can find the remains of the small fishing community of Hindisvík. On the beaches you can find Eastern Atlantic harbor seals hauled out on the rocks at low tide. The area is also teeming with birds, like eider ducks, plovers and gulls. These pictures were taken in July 1998.
